Being in the presence of Joel Timothy is inspiring and reminds me of why I walk the darkened hallways of studios day after day. In an age when so many artists play it safe, it is a rare and wonderful thing to hear an artist who is real - down to the core of his soul.

Joel has a calming, charismatic aura that makes it virtually impossible for anyone around him to be nervous, uptight or anxious. Everyone who knows Joel would agree that whether he’s known you for years, or just met you for the first time, upon a greeting or meeting the first thing he does is make you laugh and relax.

Joel was born with the purpose of writing and singing deep from the soul, and that’s what he does. For Joel, there has never been a “Plan-B.” He lives his life outside the lines of the conventional world, yet he is deeply grounded with a belief that everything in the world is connected to everything else.

He’s an artist with many important and universal messages, yet he never takes himself too seriously. He never takes his talent for granted, and views it as an other-worldly gift. I am proud to call him a friend.
